Who can join?

Membership is open to Tanzanians aged 18 and above, and to organisations and companies sharing TABICA’s vision and mission. Applicants should be ready to participate in the association’s work and uphold its constitution.

Membership categories

• Founding members: signatories to the constitution and others admitted under its provisions.
• Ordinary members: those joining after registration and meeting the membership conditions.
• Honorary members: respected individuals appointed to offer expert advice. Honorary membership is by appointment and is exempt from membership fees.

Why participate?

Members can contribute to policy dialogue, share practical knowledge, build professional networks and participate in association activities. TABICA seeks to strengthen capacity, support innovation and represent the common interests of the sector.

Admission process

Submit your application to the Secretariat using the online form. The Secretariat reviews the information and may request clarification. Final approval rests with the Board of Directors. Approved registrations are reported to the AGM. An online application or account does not itself confer membership.

Rights and responsibilities

Members participate in activities, uphold the constitution, support the mission and attend meetings. Ordinary and founding members have voting rights as provided by the constitution. Honorary members do not vote under Article 16. Members pay applicable registration and annual subscription fees. Arrears exceeding six months may result in suspended privileges under the constitution.

Fees

Amounts and payment schedules are determined by the Board and ratified by the AGM. Obtain the current approved schedule and official payment instructions from the Secretariat.

Fair process

The constitution provides for warnings and a right of appeal in disciplinary matters. Membership concerns should first be raised with the Secretariat for the appropriate internal process.
